I am not sure where 2017 has gone, but then again, the last 4 years have been a blur. In Abu Dhabi it seems that one summer blends into the next and time just flies by you. And so we find ourselves on the 1st December, 2017. 2018 is right there ahead of us, with all the hopes and worries that new years may bring with them. For us, I think 2018 will be a year of big change. Much needed change. And with that looming ahead, and having spent the last week in simpler living conditions in India, I feel the growing urge to simplify life further and to eliminate unnecessary items from our lives.
The Minimalism Game has been extensively covered online, and I’ve gone through the process once before (read more here), with many friends getting involved across the globe. It was a big success and surprising to see how much baggage, literally, we carry with us, that we do not need. So what better time to try the Minimalism Challenge again than in the last month of this year! I hope that this will not only help me start 2018 a bit lighter, but also allow me to share things I simply don’t need anymore with others during Christmas time.
I’m already excited to see what I will have eliminated by the end of the month, and I’ll post an overview of what left the house at the end of the year. If you’re also doing the minimalist challenge this month, do comment below and keep in touch about your progress. I would love to know your thoughts and hear about your experience with this challenge! Merry Simplifying.
Minimalism is not about having less. It’s about making room for more of what matters.
